...been serving at Abiding Peace since 2004. He hails from south-central Minnesota and so is a “farm boy” at heart. He attended Lutheran schools throughout his life and after four years of pastor-training college, he graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI in 1989.
In 1988 he and Karen were married, and they were blessed to raise three sons. Pastor Duane and Karen (a teacher), prior to coming to South Carolina, served God’s people in Saginaw, MI and Tomah, WI. They enjoy traveling, seeing new places and exploring new restaurants, as well as just relaxing at home watching a movie and sporting event.

Charlie serves Abiding Peace church & school as a temporary intern as part of his studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary.

Mr. Ian Paulsen grew up in Wisconsin and studied Elementary Education at Martin Luther College, where he eventually graduated in 2020. After that, he moved to Michigan, where he taught 7th-8th grade and was Principal and Athletic Director for four years. He is in his 2nd year at Abiding Peace Academy.
